Creating a Mood Board

I am in the process of creating two different moodboards that could be used in conjunction with a detailed thought shower to help complete the Applied Art and Design GCSE Woodcarving brief.

I have completed my first attempt at a moodboard.

This is my second attempt… on reflection I believe that students could produce several mood board collages as their initial starting point.

Key design concepts to consider when putting together a mood board include:
– Use of appropriate typography
– Selection of colour scheme- is is analogous, complimentary (colour opposites), monochromatic etc
– Range of imagery (consider a mixture of primary and secondary resources, ensure appropriate references are given)
– Keywords what are the aims of the client
