Week Two at Tynemouth Market

This weekend was great at Tynemouth.

Even though it was cold again (bloomin’ snow) there were a lot of people about and I made a number of sales of cards and one fine art print. James also made some sales including his stunning ‘Cycle Tunnel’ photographic print.

The stall is looking better now with the addition of the new hand painted sign ‘The Fine Art Stall’. The new A5 flyer, outlining my own and James’ experience, was taken by number of people. I still need to revise some of the text but it was really encouraging to see people with a real interest in what we are doing.

During the week I had completed my series of astrological sun sign line drawings and this was the first time they were on public show.  Using the original A4 images I created a greetings card series with signed digital A6 prints. There was a fair amount of interest and I had a number of conversations about the different drawings with market goers, particularly Gemini.

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be building up some more stock and in the longer term Anne Proctor has expressed an interest in marketing her exquisite hand stitched notebooks that will each feature an original piece of artwork.

I think there is a lot to be positive about.
