NE26 1DGAn exhibition of children’s artworks created over the half term with the help of artist Elizabeth Kane have been put on display in Park View Shopping Centre Whitley Bay on the site of the former X-Catalogue store until the end of November.
I think the artworks turned out incredibly well and I’ve had some lovely feedback from participants which is greatly appreciated. I love the banner and think the colours are incredibly vibrant, the finished letters remind me of mosaics or patchwork quilts. The sea creatures were more complex shapes but the children and their helpers (Mums, Mams, Dads, Granddads, Grandmas, Nanas and friends parents) took their time and put lots of effort into making sure they were completed to the highest possible standard. Top marks all around!Elizabeth Kane
